Installing Your DeliverySafe

NOTE: DO NOT EVER CLOSE THE LID WITH THE KEY INSERTED IN THE LOCK.

BATTERY SET UP & REPLACEMENT

The DeliverySafe utilizes four (4) AAA alkaline batteries. To install the batteries, first open your DeliverySafe lid with the included keys. Once you open the lid, remove the key from the lock. The battery pack is located inside the DeliverySafe, on the bottom of the lid.

Battery installation:

1. Open the top with included keys. Once you open the lid, remove the key from the lock. The battery pack is located on the bottom of the lid.
2. Remove the protective case cover by sliding it down.
3. Remove the battery cover by sliding it back.
4. Locate the included four (4) AAA alkaline batteries and insert them matching “+” and “-”.
5. Close by re-applying the cover and reconnecting the protective case cover.

Note: Batteries should last 6-8 months.

ASSEMBLING MOUNTING FEET WITHOUT ANCHORING TO GROUND

You may choose not to anchor your DeliverySafe to an existing surface or structure. In that case, follow these steps to install the mounting feet.

Assembling Mounting Feet without anchoring to ground:

1. Locate the following parts: a. 4qty M12 bolts b. 4qty M12 gasket washers c. 4qty Mounting Feet d. 4qty M12 washers
2. Open the DeliverySafe lid and locate the 4qty holes in the floor of the DeliverySafe.
3. Slide one metal washer over a M12 bolt, and then slide one M12 gasket washer over the bolt.
4. Insert through the floor of the DeliverySafe and through one mounting foot, and screw tight.
5. Repeat for the remaining 3qty mounting feet.

INSTALLATION: SECURING TO WOOD DECKING

1. Locate the position for your DeliverySafe.
2. Practice opening and closing the DeliverySafe to ensure proper spacing and functionality.
3. You will use the non-rusting M10 lag bolts, M10 washers and M10 gasket washers.
4. Open your DeliverySafe and mark 4qty anchor holes on wood decking through bottom of DeliverySafe floor. It is recommended to use chalk or permanent marker, so it is clearly visible when you remove the DeliverySafe from its position.
5. Remove the DeliverySafe, revealing the locations of the 4qty anchor holes.
6. Drill the 4qty 5/16” pilot holes for the anchor holes, keeping the drill plumb and level, ensuring straight anchor holes.
7. Clear away any sawdust/debris to ensure a clean area for positioning your DeliverySafe.
8. Place the DeliverySafe feet overtop the drilled pilot holes, ensuring proper alignment.
9. Place the DeliverySafe onto the feet, ensuring the mounting holes in the floor of the DeliverySafe align with the holes in the feet and pilot holes in the decking.
10. Slide one M10 washer over the M10 lag bolt, and then slide one M10 gasket washer over the lag bolt.
11. Place the M10 lag bolts through the bottom of the DeliverySafe floor, through the feet, and screw into the decking.

INSTALLATION: ANCHORING INTO CONCRETE

1. Locate the position for your DeliverySafe.
2. Practice opening and closing the DeliverySafe to ensure proper spacing and functionality.
3. Hardware Needed: 4pcs mounting feet and 4pcs M10x100 wedge anchor bolts (Concrete), 4pcs M10 gasket washers.
4. Open your DeliverySafe and mark 4qty anchor holes on concrete through bottom of DeliverySafe floor. It is recommended to use chalk or permanent marker, so it is clearly visible when you remove the DeliverySafe from its position.
5. Remove the DeliverySafe, revealing the locations of the 4qty anchor holes.
6. You will be drilling 2.5” deep holes in the concrete. To ensure the proper depth, it is advisable to measure off 2.5” from the tip of the masonry drill bit. Mark the 2.5” depth with a piece of blue painter’s tape or masking tape, ensuring that there is 2.5” visible from the tip of the drill bit to the edge of the tape. IMPORTANT: Do NOT drill deeper than 2.5”, otherwise, the Anchor Bolts may go too deep into the hole and cannot be tightened with washers and nuts after the feet are assembled.
7. Drill the 4qty anchor holes, keeping the drill plumb and level, ensuring straight anchor holes.
8. Clear away any dust/debris to ensure a clean area for positioning your DeliverySafe.
9. Remove the washers and nuts from the M10 wedge anchor bolts and place the M10 wedge anchor bolts into the anchor holes. Gently hammer the anchor bolts into the drilled anchor holes, leaving the threaded part of the anchor bolts exposed.
10. Tighten the nuts 2 or 3 complete revolutions so that the anchors expand within the holes to ensure a strong grip within the concrete.
11. Place the 4qty feet over the exposed anchor bolts.
12. Place the DeliverySafe in position, ensuring all feet and anchor bolts are properly aligned and “seated” within the DeliverySafe.
13. Attach first with M10 gasket washers, then metal washers, and then tighten the nuts inside the DeliverySafe.
